Silent Retreat for the Soul

5 days retreat of sacred silence, for returning home through meditation, quiet contemplation, nature experiences and beauty in Tiveden, Sweden.
In a world filled with constant noise, movement, and expectation, silence becomes a rare and powerful gift. This silent retreat is an invitation to step away from distraction and return to the quiet space within—where clarity, presence, and deeper understanding naturally arise.
This retreat will be dedicated to contemplative practices of yoga and meditation, where we aim to silence the mind to be able to hear the voice of the heart. A silent retreat can also improve focus and attention. Without conversations, media, or constant stimulation, the mind learns to stay present.
Simple activities—walking, eating, breathing—become more intentional and meaningful. This practice of mindfulness strengthens concentration and can improve productivity and learning long after the retreat has ended.
Additionally, silence deepens one’s connection to the present moment. Below and beyond the surface of noise in our mind is a deep silence that is our innermost nature. Silence has an immense power to heal and rebuild us on all levels. All wisdom traditions believe that true knowledge and understanding come from silence, and silence is both a path and a destination.


What will happen:

● Practise of Mauna – Silence as a doorway to the soul
●Digital detox – Spend these days entirely without electronic devices such as phones and laptop
● Mental detox – The practice of silencing the mind, supported by a complete absence of speech. Silence of speech will be mandatory. It will be possible to write questions to the teachers and notes to the staff when needed.
● Social consideration: All participants support the shared field of silence, and avoid disturbing others with gestures, sounds or actions.
● Inspiring authentic teachings about meditation and the awakening of the soul
● Hatha Yoga – Specific asanas (bodily postures) that support the purpose of this retreat
● Yoga Nidra – deep relaxation for profound rest and nervous system reser
● Meditations for inner silence and awakening of the soul
● Practical exercises for calming mental agitations
● Food for the heart – spiritual poetry and readings for awakening the soul
● Time in nature – The center is located in a beautiful natural area of Tiveden – one of the most wonderful areas of Sweden
● Regeneration – Vegetarian food, time to sleep and a warm sauna

You do not need any prior experience with meditation or yoga. The retreats are for anyone who aspires to go deep with silent meditation or needs a deep mental and emotional reset.

The event will be held in a beautiful venue in Tiveden, which is around 3 h away from both Stockholm and Göteborg airport

Language:
The retreat will be guided in English.

Awakening the Soul

Awakening the soul represents a pivotal moment on the spiritual journey, for which all other practices are but mere preparations.
Awakening the soul is not a technique, yet there are many ways, methods and practices that can help us awaken our soul.
The soul has been contemplated as a great mystery in all spiritual traditions, representing a center, home and sacred identity beyond the borders of the ego that defines itself by separation.
Our soul is the chamber of unity, the individual essence, Jivatman, that brings unity in diversity. Unity between us and the other. Unity between heaven and earth. Unity between inside and outside. This unity is the fastest achieved through awakening of love. Learning how to come back to the heart, again and again.
To open up to beauty, to learn how to be touched, to awaken an intuitive intelligence, to open up to sacredness and consciousness. To balance surrender with an integrated will to act. To learn to rest in silence, and to manifest the courage to follow a higher ideal. To live with moral beauty, spiritual integrity and dignity. To experience the wholesomeness and fulfilment which comes when we can embrace all of life, all of our emotions and feelings without judgements, allowing all which flows to us from life to bring us the vital radiance of the awakened heart.

Why silence

When was the last time you engaged in silence? Not just switching on flight mode or closing the door while working, but actually choosing and staying in the silence until it opens something deep in you?
Often we use words to distract our inner selves from dealing with the things within us that really need attention. This is why some people find silence so challenging, or even unsettling. We hide behind everything we can—the job, responsibilities, even our persona, distracting ourselves from unresolved emotions, restless thoughts.
So what happens when we press pause and connect to that in us that we call ”I”—that which has been the same since we lay in our mother’s arms, that state we felt when we fell in love and will be the same until our last words.
Silence becomes a teacher—guiding us toward greater self-awareness, emotional clarity, and inner peace.
